Introducing Your Santa Clarita Hometown Ambassador, John Carter

#santa-clarita-ca Hello! I’m John Carter and I’d like to introduce myself as your Santa Clarita News and Talk Hometown Ambassador. I’ve lived in Santa Clarita since 1980 when, believe it or not, we had farms in the valley! Back then, it was then a sleepy bedroom town, but has since grown into a wonderful city.

I was born in Los Angeles but raised in Kenya, East Africa until the age of 18. This experience taught me that all people have the same basic wants and needs, and how we can live in harmony with people from all walks of life.

As a Navy veteran, having served from 1964-1970, I quickly learned the value of working together for a common cause regardless of backgrounds. Being able to see things from another person’s viewpoint has served me well in both life and business.

Along the way, I obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma but my greatest educational experience was obtaining a Master Practitioner Certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

For the past 20 years I have been a volunteer helping at-risk teens to create life strategies to motivate them in a positive direction to become productive and successful adults, some of the most personally satisfying work I have ever done.

I have owned and operated both brick and mortar as well as internet businesses, and now use my business experience and expertise to find wonderful internet businesses that people can do from home or with little travel. There are so many businesses, and so much misinformation out there that it’s all too easy to get confused or take a wrong turn.

I thoroughly research these businesses and weed through them to find only the ones that can truly help people in an honest and ethical way.  I then share them with those people who need a change or simply a helping hand, as I truly believe everyone, with just a little help, can be prosperous.
