The official start of fall is still a couple of days away, but you won’t need a calendar to know it is close.
With a high temperature of 72 degrees in the forecast, Sunday will be a primer of the season ahead, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon said.
“It already feels like fall,” she said. “The moment you step outside, you will definitely notice it.”
The morning is off to a relatively cool start with temperatures in the mid- and upper 50s. The day is predicted to be partly cloudy, and temperatures will top out at about 72 degrees later in the afternoon, Deon said.
Monday will be bit chillier, with temperatures in the low and mid-50s in the morning and a high of 72 predicted for the afternoon. Tuesday, the official first day of the season, will cap out at about 73 degrees.
The 70-degree temperatures are a notable difference from what the start of fall felt like in previous years. Both 2019 and 2018 saw temperatures in the low and mid-90s during the first week of season.
