Crews put out a blaze at the University of Georgia’s Tate Center after the building’s roof caught fire Friday night, authorities said.
The Athens-Clarke County Fire Department responded to the fire shortly after 9 p.m., the department said in a tweet.
“The fire started on the roof and crews are still on scene monitoring the situation and verifying no further extension to the interior of the building,” the post said.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which was quickly contained. University officials said the blaze caused limited damage to the building, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
