Joe Biden has reached 273 electoral college votes and is projected to become president-elect of the United States.
Biden’s running mate, U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California, is projected to become vice president-elect, making her the first woman, Black person and person of South Asian descent to do so.
All three major networks, CNN, Fox News, The Associated Press and The New York Times have projected Biden to win Saturday morning.
The news comes following reports that President Donald Trump will not concede the election. Trump is projected to become the first president since 1992 to be defeated after seeking reelection after one term in office, when George H.W. Bush was defeated by then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton.
Trump was seeking to become the first president elected to a second term after impeachment.
